Semester One

Reflection on Semester 1

Semester 1 at the University of Florida was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I began to be involved in Dance Marathon. I became a captain for Family Relations where my miracle child was Kinsey Bogart. I connected with Kinsey, who is 21 years old in kidney failure. She has inspired me to continue my fight against pediatric illness. I also attended the Alpha Retreat with Catholic Gators, where I was able to find an amazing Catholic community. I have loved living in Honors Village where I have met so many outstanding individuals who live in my building. I have even been able to collaborate with an individual on my floor to start a club called Letters of Love where we write letters to children in the ICU. I have made so many connections and have loved my studies. I feel confident in my biochemistry major on a pre-medicine path. I have had the best first semester.
